Morecambe Bay CCG’s Governing Body also has non-voting observers at their meetings. Sue Stevenson from Healthwatch Cumbria is one of these observers.
Sue is the Chief Operating Officer for People First Independent Advocacy, the social enterprise which delivers a wide range of projects including Healthwatch Cumbria (HWC).
Sue is also the Chief Operating Officer for HWC and has a lead role in shaping both the strategic and operational approach for HWC, working closely with the HWC Board.
Immediately before moving to People First, Sue had a policy focused position leading on culture and health policy in the Chief Executive Officer for Cumbria County Council. Here she commissioned and contract managed HWC and the NHS Complaints Advocacy Service. This experience means that she brings knowledge and understanding of the public sector to her current role which helps shape how HWC seeks to influence the way services are delivered and improved.
Sue is delighted to be able to represent HWC as an observer on the Morecambe Bay CCG Governing Body, and is passionate about ensuring that the CCG takes full and proper account of the voices and experiences of local people in its decision making processes.
