Members of the public are invited to join the fun and have conversations about their health and wellbeing at the happier healthier Sunday Fun Day in Kendal!
The Kendal Integrated Care Community team are inviting the public, health professionals and partner organisations to the happier healthier Sunday fun day, which will take place on Sunday 18th March 2018 at Kendal Leisure Centre.
The event, which is free to enter, will run from 10am until 3pm and will be packed with lots of fun-filled activities for everyone.
Dr Amy Lee, local GP in Kendal said: “The Sunday fun day is a chance for people to get together, have some fun and have conversations about their health and wellbeing. On the day there will be something for everyone including sports, crafts, learning new things and games.
“We hope families will be able to relax and have some fun together, whatever the weather!”
Along with having fun on the bouncy castle, the day will give children the opportunity to try out a variety of different sports including cricket, rounders and table tennis. They can learn outdoor skills at the Woodland Wonder Forest School or get stuck into arts and crafts activities. Swimming will also be on offer at a reduced cost of just five pounds.
Visitors will also have an opportunity to have a health and wellbeing MOT which includes blood pressure checks and Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements. Health professionals will be on hand to offer health advice and answer any questions.
Additionally, the leisure centre will be packed with stalls offering information on local health services and voluntary organisations.
The event will be taking place at:
