Each CCG within England is required to submit a transformation plan to outline how they are meeting the recommendations within Future in Mind. These plans are refreshed every year. Morecambe Bay CCG is represented in two local transformation plans: the Lancashire Transformation Plan and the Cumbria Transformation Plan.
Transformation plans support local implementation of the national ambition and principles set out in Future in Mind – promoting, protecting and improving our children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
The plans detail the work underway to improve the resilience, emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people, making it easier for them and their families to access help and support when they need it and improving the standard of mental health services locally.
The plans are informed by consultation with children, young people and families and based on comprehensive identification of needs and evidence-based practice as well as a clear understanding of the local context. The plans aim to promote good emotional wellbeing and prevention of mental ill-health through early intervention, care and recovery.
The refreshed Local Transformation Plans and Easy read versions for Lancashire and Cumbria for 2017 are available below.
Lancashire Local Transformation Plan
The Lancashire North part of the CCG is part of the Lancashire Transformation Plan, which covers all eight CCGs within the Lancashire area. Implementation of the plan is overseen by the Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Transformation Board, which consists of key partners across Pan Lancashire and is supported by a Clinical Reference Group.
Cumbria Local Transformation Plan
